What is MXTK?

MXTK is an ERC-20 token on Arbitrum.

What is recorded on chain

MXTK is built on two registries that work at different levels of detail.

The mineral registry defines asset classes — 170 distinct classes of commodity and resource. A class is a category, not a quantity: graphite is one class, however much graphite exists.

The RWA registry records individual instruments, each addressed separately. A thousand bonds are a thousand registrations. This is where bonds, real estate and money-market instruments are recorded.

Against those registries, the contract records attested holdings. Each record identifies the asset class, the amount in that asset’s own unit, the address it is attributed to, and a reference to the attestation document. Today two classes carry recorded holdings: graphite and gold.
